Cecilia Dapaah’s US$1m case: Maid, 6 others arrested again for 31 fresh charges

Patience Botwe, formerly employed as a housemaid for ex-Minister Cecilia Dapaah in the Sanitation Department, along with six others, is facing a renewed legal ordeal. State prosecutors have slapped them with 31 new charges subsequent to the withdrawal of the initial charge sheet at the Circuit Court.

The specifics of these new charges remain undisclosed. However, a video shared on X exhibits Patience Botwe and associates being escorted away from the court premises.

Patience Botwe, 18 years old, and her co-accused are facing allegations of stealing various amounts of money, notably $1 million, €300,000, and other assets from the former minister, Cecilia Dapaah. Since July 6, 2023, they have been presented before the Circuit Court as ongoing investigations continue.
