2023 WASSCE Best Schools Revealed

WAEC has revealed the best schools in the 2023 WASSCE following the release of the 2023 WASSCE results, dated December 18, 2023.

School heads will soon receive login credentials to access their students’ results, available on the official WAEC website. However, the results of 4,878 candidates have been withheld due to non-return of learning support materials issued by their schools. Affected candidates are advised to contact their schools for resolution.

WAEC urges caution against fraudulent schemes offering result upgrades for a fee and emphasizes the use of official channels for result-related queries. The authenticity of WAEC results can be verified through its results verification system, including the use of the WAEC QR code.

A total of 448,674 candidates, comprising 212,453 males and 236,221 females from 975 schools, participated in the examination, reflecting a 5.8% increase compared to the 2022 entry figure.

Notably, some candidates faced consequences for violating exam rules. WAEC canceled the subject results of 3,647 candidates for bringing printed materials into the testing rooms. Additionally, 839 candidates had their entire results nullified for possessing cell phones during the exam. For various suspected offenses, the full results of 1,005 candidates and the subject results of 4,280 candidates have been withheld.
