Black Sherif releases new single ‘Oh no’

Ghanaian BET award-winning artist Black Sherif has just dropped a new single named ‘OH NO’ under his record label, RBA, and in partnership with EMPIRE.

The track emphasizes the 21-year-old’s position as a key figure leading the wave of African music onto the global stage.

‘OH NO’ is a fusion of Highlife, Soul, and Drill, produced by Samsney, Black Sherif’s in-house producer, and co-produced by Joker Nharnah. It highlights the artist’s resilience in facing life’s challenges while staying committed to his craft.

In the song, Black Sherif reinforces his dedication to his art and staying true to himself without wavering.

Regarding the inspiration behind ‘OH NO’, the artist shared, “It feels like standing at the edge of a chasm, aware of the potential consequence of the next step. I choose to live without fear of the pit, despite the voices urging me in different directions.”

“‘Oh No’ reaffirms my purpose and identity. It defines who I am, what I stand for, and celebrates the effort I’ve invested in my journey so far.”

At the beginning of the year, Black Sherif unveiled a dual single project titled ‘Take Care of Yourself Blacko’, a soothing track advocating self-care, healing, and reflecting on his personal growth.

Since releasing his debut album, ‘The Villain I Never Was’, last year, Black Sherif has firmly established himself as a potent voice in African music. His global streaming numbers have been substantial, crowning him as the most streamed Ghanaian artist of 2022 on Spotify and the most streamed Ghanaian artist ever on the African platform, Boomplay. This remarkable achievement showcases his rapid rise as a key figure in the evolving African music landscape.
