‘Delay Is Not Denial’ – Davido Celebrates His 3 Grammy Nominations
Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has secured three nominations in the 66th Grammy Awards.
His fourth studio album, “Timeless,” earned him a nod for Best Global Album, while his songs “Unavailable” and “Feel” garnered nominations for Best African Performance and Best Global Music Performance, respectively.
Expressing his joy on Twitter, Davido stated, “3 nominations at the Grammys! Delay is not denial!”
In the competitive field for Best Global Music Performance, Davido will vie against Burna Boy, Arooj Aftab, Silvana Estrada, Béla Fleck, Falu, and Gaurav Shah. The Best Global Music Album category will see him in contention with Burna Boy, Susana Baca, Shakti, and Bokante. Additionally, in the Best African Music Performance category, Davido faces strong competition from familiar names such as Asake, Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, and South Africa’s Tyla.
